Career Summary:

Talented interior decorator and artist living in Melbourne who has successfully implemented varied commercial and residential projects from high-end luxury homes to designing a range of soft furnishings and curating art for each specific project.  A passion for architecture and interior design brought about a creative awareness that influenced Lianne’s design direction and style of painting.

In addition to her vibrant oils and watercolour paintings featured in many art gallery exhibitions, Lianne focuses on furnishing and accessorising properties as part of her business, “Lianne Fritsch Interiors”.

Regular travel and attendance at leading design and trade events, enables Lianne to stay at the forefront of global design trends.

For inspiration, Lianne uses her skills in photography, capturing unique and stunning images of the architecture, discovering delightful laneways of century old buildings, wrought iron balconies spilling over with red and pink geraniums.  She loves the animation of people  dining or sipping coffee at their favourite café, vibrant colours of fresh food and flower markets held in the Italian piazzas early morning and people going about their day.  These are some of the subjects Lianne loves to paint when she returns home to her studio.

Objective:

As a professional artist, Lianne continues to create pieces of artwork that are displayed in various art galleries and photographic gallery settings.

Lianne creates both personal pieces and commissioned pieces, using a wide range of mediums, such as oils, watercolours, acrylic and pastel.

A recent project involved external works, painting near life-sized African animal sculptures that were installed in the playground landscape of an inner-city childcare centre

 Travels:

A trip to France and Italy in 1993 was a life-changing experience captivating Lianne’s imagination and passion for European life-style, streetscapes and culture.

With camera and sketchbook in hand, Lianne recorded many of the ‘picture-book’ scenes in Lake Como, Venice, Florence and the Tuscan countryside. A journey by train to the stunning Cinque Terre staying in Monterosso, Portofino, the Amalfi Coast, Rome and Sicily. Next, to Greece and the Greek Islands, Santorini, Mykanos and Crete.

In 2011, staying in George Town on Penang Is. in Malaysia was delightful, especially visiting the fascinating Chew Jetty with its stilt houses where people live and fish above the sea.
